A very important promotional event for our Club is coming up soon!
Over the weekend of 17th/18th May, The Rickmansworth Festival takes place at the Aquadrome and your club needs your help to promote the club and let festival goers know who we are and what we do. This means we can recruit more members and remain a healthy and active club.
The Club needs as many members as possible to help to promote the Club over the two days, as this would mean less work for everyone whilst giving all members a chance to explore the festival themselves.
To promote the club, we will have an information stand at the clubhouse and we will be running ‘Come and Try’ sessions on Saturday 17th at 13:00, 15:00 & 16:30 and Sunday 18th 11:30, 13:00 & 15:30. There will also be Canoe Polo Demonstrations on both days at 14:00.
Over the weekend there will be no formal recreational or polo sessions but there will be plenty of opportunity for all members to kayak at some stage during the weekend. We will also have access to a number of Canadian Canoes for those who want to give ‘Canoeing’ a try.
How can you help?
Please take a look at the list below, these are just some of the areas where help is required over the weekend.
If you are able to spare some time and help your Club with any of the above, whether it be for the whole weekend or a few hours on either Saturday or Sunday, please get in touch with Maria secretary@nomadkayakclub.co.uk and let her know what you can help with and when you are available to help.
