Nomad Kayak club runs an away trip every month for pure enjoyment and for members to develop paddling skills on different waters. Trips are led by coaches and experienced paddlers who specify the minimum skill level needed. If you want to go on a trip but don't have BCU stars awards, ask a club coach to check your paddling level and let the trip leader know. The club aims to make trips open to as many members as possible, so if you're not sure whether a trip's suitable for you, please ask the trip leader or a coach.
Trips are normally on the second sunday or weekend of the month in order not to conflict with pool sessions, so keep these days free. Members will be notified of unavoidable changes to the trips calendar by email.
Sign up for trips using the signup sheets, where you can also find the trip leader's email address.
Trips are coordinated by Matt Greenshields, club trips officer. For information on individual trips please contact trip leaders. A big thank you to all trip leaders who give their time free to run the trips.
Club boats and other equipment for trips can be borrowed at a cost of £5 per day from the equipment officer. The club doesn't provide transport for trips, so please arrange and share with other members via the signup sheets.
