Nomad Kayak club runs an away trip every month for pure enjoyment and for members to develop their skills on different waters. Trips are led by coaches and experienced paddlers who specify the minimum skill level needed. If you want to go on a trip and don't have BCU stars awards, ask a club coach to check out your paddling and let the trip leader know. We aim to make trips open to as many members as possible, so if you're unsure whether a trip's suitable for you, please ask the trip leader or a coach.
Trips are normally held on the second sunday or weekend of the month in order not to conflict with pool sessions, so keep these days free. Members will be notified of unavoidable changes to trips by email.
Sign up for trips here, where you can also find the trip leaders email addresses.
Trips are coordinated by Matt Greenshields, trips officer and for information on individual trips please contact the trip leader. A big thank you to all trip leaders who give their time free to run trips.
Club boats and equipment can be borrowed at a cost of £5 per day from the equipment officer. The club doesn't provide transport for trips, so please arrange and share with other members via the signup sheets.
